Kapa Haka is an avenue for maori people to express and showcase their heritage and cultural Polynesian Identity through song and dance. Kapa Haka literally means to Form a line (Kapa) and dance (Haka)

A kaea is a leader which means the kaea has to lead each song that is sang for kapa haka.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Erika and I go to St Patrick's school. This is a very interesting piece of work. I love how you laid out your work and included the song and WALT. I honestly learnt so many things that I didn't know about from this piece of work. Maybe next time you could say what the actions look like that the boys and girls do because i'm quite curious. Overall this was a neat piece of work maybe you could just go a little more in-depth next time?
